Class action meetings this week for Murrindindi-Marysville fire victims

There will be two more class action community information case update sessions this week for people who suffered losses in the 2009 Black Saturday Murrindindi-Marysville fire, at Buxton and in Melbourne.

Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, led by Class Actions Principal Andrew Watson and Special Counsel Jennifer Patterson, will be holding meetings at the Buxton Memorial Hall this Wednesday night 12 March, and the following evening Thursday 13 March at the Maurice Blackburn office on Lonsdale St in Melbourne.

After positive feedback from people regarding the recent community meeting held in Murrindindi, these two additional meetings are being held to cater to the strong interest from people involved in the action, which is due for trial in October this year.

The evenings will provide affected and interested community members with an update on important information in the lead up to the trial and will be open to all residents and those that were affected by the fire in 2009.
