Marysville & District Lions Club celebrated 40 years of Community Service.

Members, Past members, including two Charter members, Visiting Lions, Non-Lion Active Supporters, Members of the Community, eighty people enjoyed a Great Night of celebration last Saturday, in the fantastic Narbethong Community Hall.

Gourmet food by Mike Jaeger of the Lazy River Café and his Team, Great music by The Scrimshaw Four to start the evening, and later Great music for dancing by Denis Tucker.

Support over the years for many local projects including the Community Health Centre, Ambulance, Fire Brigades, SES, Alexandra Hospital, Guides, Schools, Kinder, Youth Group, RSL, Community Events - Australia Day, Anzac Day, and of late, great concerts in the Community Centre.

Support for national & international projects, “Sightfirst”, disasters in Q’ld., NSW, Tas., Vic and overseas.

Apart from delegated funds received post 2009 fires, Marysville & District Lions Club have over the past 12 years, donated over $500,000 to the Community. Some $40,000 per year, from fundraising  what a marvellous effort.

Congratulations to all past and present members and those volunteers from the Community who have helped achieve this fabulous result with thousands of volunteer hours over the forty years.
